Hey everyone,
We've got some news to share with you all, and we're aiming to be as transparent as possible. As many of you know, our lease here is coming to an end at the close of November. It's a bittersweet moment because while we've cherished the memories we've made here, we also need to address some pressing issues.
The truth is, staying here is becoming increasingly difficult. The rent is a constant struggle, and the stairs have been causing accessibility problems for some of our valued customers. We've been exploring our options, and we believe we've found a new location that not only addresses these accessibility concerns but is also more affordable for us in the long run.
But, and this is a big but, making this move is going to require a substantial amount of money upfront. That's where you all come in. We're going to kickstart a fundraising campaign to help us with the initial costs of relocating. We know it's a lot to ask, but we genuinely need your support to make this happen.
Over the next few months, we've lined up a series of exciting events for you all to enjoy, including Where's Waldo hunts, baking contests, trivia nights, and more. These events aren't just about having fun (though they definitely will be), they're also about rallying together as a community to support a cause we believe in.
We understand that change can be scary, and nothing is set in stone just yet. But we want to bring you along on this journey with us. Together, we can make our bookstore more inclusive and accessible for everyone.
