The History of Judo in Canada was published in its original version in 1998 by Glynn Arthur Leyshon to mark the 40th anniversary of Judo Canada. Today, Nicolas Gill proposes an update of this history which takes into account the many developments during the last twenty years. The new book now contains biographies of 26 tatami heroes, 22 biographies of pioneers and builders as well as several sections on Canadian and international refereeing, the development of women’s judo, the move of the National Judo Center to Montreal, and the Canadian kodansha repertoire. You will also find the list of international tournaments in Canada as well as archival data on the different groups of medalists.
